Below are five companies that provide car insurance policies for provisional licence holders to have additional practice with a relative or friend who can support them and are prepared to be a supervising driver. This can help the learner to gain extra experience.
When using these policies on someone else's car their no-claims bonus is protected and the annual policies can help to gain accelerated no-claims discounts for the new driver.
Some of the companies also provide policies when you have gained a full licence or temporary car insurance for full licence holders who wish to share or borrow a friend's or family members vehicle.
You will find my details on their website and therefore get a 10% discount.
They provide learner driver insurance to practice in your own car or a friend or family member's car from two hours to 90 days. Cover can be extended.
They also have car sharing insurace for when you have a full licence and want temporary cover to borrow someone's car from one hour up to 30 days.
2. Marmalade
Again you will find my details on their website.
They again provide short term learner driver insurance. The cover can be extended when it expires.
They also provide annual cover if you have your own car or even on a parent's car. You can start this while you still have a provisional licence and the cover will continue after you have passed your test without paying an additional premium. For cover to continue you must notify them as soon as you have passed your test.
Again short term cover to borrow someone's car when you have a full licence.
And if looking for a new car with free insurance for a monthly fee.
3. Collingwood
Use code 225908 for a discount.
Again learner driver insurance both short term or annual cover on your own car or someone else's car. However you can cancel at anytime and get a pro-rata refund.
4. National Learner Driver Insurance
Use code 225908
Short term learner insurance on a friend or family member's car for additional practice. Cover from two weeks up to 5 months. If the cover expires you can extent it.

If you have any questions please let me know.
If she has a full foreign licence she can drive in the UK as a full licence holder for up to 12 months after the date she started to live in the UK. After the 12 months she would need a UK provisional to be able to legally drive on the road.
She will need to apply for a UK licence if she needs to take a theory or practical test.
Whether or not your ADI insurance covers a foreign licence holder will need to be checked with your insurance company. If they have a UK provisional licence normal rules apply.
If the full licence was issued in the EC or in a designated country with which we have an exchange agreement the foreign licence can be exchanged for a full UK licence, but with EU car licences you can continue using them till aged 70.
