My name is Neil Hughes, and I have been a fully qualified driving instructor since 2002. I used to live in Bury St Edmunds, and my training was primarily conducted in Cambridge. Currently, I reside in Newmarket, where I offer comprehensive driving lessons Newmarket residents appreciate.
I hold a Level 4 Award in Preparing for the Coaching Role, along with several accolades such as 🏅 IAM advanced driver (a first), 🏅 Rospa gold advanced driving, and 🎓 BTEC 3 and 4 coaching techniques. I understand that you want to pass your tests as quickly as possible, and I will do everything I can to help you achieve this. However, it's equally important that once you pass your advanced driving test, you feel confident driving safely wherever you go. Therefore, my goal is to teach you how to drive safely, not just how to pass your test during our driving lessons in Newmarket.
To help you prepare effectively for your practical driving test, I will arrange a Mock Test for you. This practice test mirrors the real test as closely as possible. It will be conducted and marked just like the actual test, complete with a written report and detailed feedback at the end. This preparation will allow us to focus on any weak areas and help alleviate nerves, as you’ll know what to expect on the day, all under the guidance of a qualified driving instructor.

HOW TO PASS FIRST TIME Every learner driver would like to know how to pass their driving test at the first attempt, and we are going to share that with you right now. On your first driving lesson in Newmarket, the driving examiner on the day of your driving test wants to know if you are a safe driver.
